ABOUT THE MOVEMENT

Only Going for Fun was started to help women find themselves in their own story. In our lives we balance so much between family, career, wellness, social, etc, etc. etc.  Most days we handle all that responsibility like the bosses we are, but there is one little thing:

When do WE get to enjoy it all?

That's what we are after.  Let's connect with joy. Let's find strategies to step back into the light. Let's find ways to chase big goals that align with our passions so we can feel pride and achievement.

Ultimately... let's unlock the badass.

If you want to kick down doors and find your power, hang out here at OGFF.

Let's level up together.

"You posted your goal of 100 strength workouts.  This clicked with me and I started my own personal challenge of 36 workouts by my 36th birthday."

"I'm enjoying exercise again and feeling the benefits. So all of this to say, thank you for sharing your authentic self and inspiring me.  I'm making showing up for myself a priority instead of negotiable."

How it started:

I often refer to my 30s as a blur of couch-time with Haagen Daz.  Raising three boys, all born two years apart, felt like a full time job with no days off. It was so easy to put myself last and collapse into bed each night. However, I knew the way I felt wasn't what I wanted for myself. I had to make a change. By taking the smallest of steps I found my way back to exercise and began to show up for myself. I found strategies for holding myself accountable. I developed habits and routines that brought me peace. I reconnected with myself which in turn made me a better mom, wife, friend and person. It wasn't easy by any sense, but the journey ultimately took me from the couch to becoming a full distance IRONMAN in my 40s.  I learned so much along the way which inspired me to share what worked (and what didn't.) My only hope is you can find something helpful here on this site, something that might inspire you to show up for yourself and connect with your joy. Every step forward, no matter how small, is a win.

Now, let's stop wasting time and let's get after it.

XOXO,

Lauren
